Summary You will serve as a senior Engineer or Scientist in the COMBAT SYSTEMS FUTURE CAPABILITIES BRANCH of the COMBAT SYSTEMS ACQUISITION DIVISION in the USW COMBAT SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT for NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.
Duties * You will serve as a senior Electronics/Mechanical/Computer and Systems engineer, performing engineering tasks involving the research, design,operation, maintenance and development of new USW Combat Systems technologies and capabilities.
* You will be responsible for working with and leading a project team in the development of USW Combat Systems, conducting testing, providing various test support to the system, and related subsystems and components.
* You will be responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, coordinating with others as necessary, and interpreting policy for established objectives.
* You will generate system and subsystem requirements in concert with fleet, sponsor, and expert stakeholder engagement. * You will review and analyze system requirement specifications and technical design review packages. * You will provide recommendations for future system enhancements based on analytic findings. Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
To be acceptable, the program must:

Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
