    Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant - Austin, United States - University Federal Credit Union

    This role will assist multiple Loan Officers in their day-to-day job duties related to compliance and quality assurance. The primary function of this role is to provide all administrative support that will allow the Loan Officer grow their business. Each Loan Officer Assistant will work with a consistent Loan Officer team

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Loan File Support and Compliance (70%)

    • Application Support:Assisting the loan officer in obtaining information for an application and/or originating a mortgage loan. Assist applicants in filling out application packets, collect documents, and signatures.
    • Compliance Support:Follow up on TRID paperwork, Initial Disclosure Request, Re-Disclosure Request, Upload authorization for credit pulls, properly closing files out, fill out loan summary information from website application. Uploading of loan and financial documents.
    • Process Support:Manage the mortgage loan process from application to funding. Properly use loan origination tools to monitor and track the life cycle of a loan in order to communicate real time information to the loan officer, processor, realtors and member.     Communication and Service Support (30%)
    • Communication Support:Provides timely and accurate information to all parties including loan officers, loan processors, Realtors and members (responds within 24 hours) and weekly, monthly reports to management.
    • Lead Support:Assists the Loan Officers in their first contact of both voice mail and email of potential members. Helps them prioritize necessity for first contact as Hot/Warm/Cold leads.
    • Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. Maintains strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls specific to the role.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    Experience
    • Minimum of one (1) year administrative experience
    • Minimum of two (2) years of inside/outside sales experience in the financial or lending industry preferred
    • **Minimum one (1) year of mortgage industry experience preferably as a Loan Officer Assistant **
    Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, etc.
    • Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Federal and State Regulations dealing with Mortgage and Home Equity lending, required. These include but are not limited to: HMDA, RESPA, Fair Housing, ECOA, TIL, and Section 50, Article XVI of the Texas Constitution.
    • Fully competent in Microsoft Office, Encompass, and other related software programs. Demonstrates the ability to use loan origination software to efficiently perform job functions.
    • Demonstrates the ability to remain patient and respectful when dealing with members.
    • Has the ability to present ideas and thoughts in a clear, concise manner. Able to make oral presentations with persuasiveness and confidence. Uses clear and simple language to get the message across to members and co-workers.
    • Able to quickly build rapport and establish credibility with members and co-workers.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, under tight deadlines while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of loan documentation.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
    • Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.
    • Must be bondable
