Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant - Austin, United States - UFCU
Description
This role will assist multiple Loan Officers in their day-to-day job duties related to compliance and quality assurance.The primary function of this role is to provide all administrative support that will allow the Loan Officer grow their business.
Each Loan Officer Assistant will work with a consistent Loan Officer teamESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loan File Support and Compliance (70%)
Communication and Service Support (30%)

Communication Support:
_ Provides timely and accurate information to all parties including loan officers, loan processors, Realtors and members (responds within 24 hours) and weekly, monthly reports to management.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. Maintains strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls specific to the role.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year administrative experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of inside/outside sales experience in the financial or lending industry preferred
Minimum one (1) year of mortgage industry experience preferably as a Loan Officer Assistant
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, etc.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Federal and State Regulations dealing with Mortgage and Home Equity lending, required.
These include but are not limited to:
HMDA, RESPA, Fair Housing, ECOA, TIL, and Section 50, Article XVI of the Texas Constitution.
- Fully competent in Microsoft Office, Encompass, and other related software programs. Demonstrates the ability to use loan origination software to efficiently perform job functions.
- Demonstrates the ability to remain patient and respectful when dealing with members.
- Has the ability to present ideas and thoughts in a clear, concise manner. Able to make oral presentations with persuasiveness and confidence. Uses clear and simple language to get the message across to members and coworkers.
- Able to quickly build rapport and establish credibility with members and coworkers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, under tight deadlines while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of loan documentation.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.
- Must be bondable
