    Description
    KIN, a new Afro-Caribbean lounge/nightlclub, is seeking line cooks for this location.


    KIN is located in the H Street Corridor - attached to Bens Chili Bowl on 10th and h Street. KIN pays homage to the rich cultural tapestry of the neighborhood, offering a unique blend of music, entertainment and food.

    We have a strong emphasis on traditional afro caribbean food done quick and fun. We are looking for someone who shares that passion and is interested in being a part of a exciting, dynamic team in a positive and professional work environment where we can provide stability to all of our team members - with room for growth.

    Line Cook Job Responsibilities:

    • Setting up and helping to prep station for service
    • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
    • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
    • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces during and at the end of the shift.
    • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

    Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:

    • Basic written and verbal communication skills
    • Organizational skills
    • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
    • Ability to work as a team member
    • Follows directions and instructions

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
    • Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
    Pay is $17-24 based on experience.
