    The Project Manager is a critical position that links across all segments of the vertically integrated Agorus business to oversee the delivery of projects.

    Starting at project identification and working through sales and contracting; design; manufacturing; and construction, the Project Manager sits in front as the face of Agorus at all major points of interface between our clients and our business verticals.


    Sales Engineering:
    Identify and establish project scope. Quantify scope into sales preliminary budget.
    Verify project and scope fits Agorus product line. Identify deviations from Agorus product line. Determine possible mitigation.
    Develop preliminary project schedule. Verify fit to factory production schedule. Preliminary coordination of project within backlog.
    Identify scope gaps. Identify possible countermeasures.
    Co-development with Business Development and Marketing of sales bids (project proposals).
    Contribute to development of building cost data necessary to improve pricing. Solicit feedback to bids. Adapt/revise sales bid accordingly.
    Negotiate contracting terms and conditions.

    Contracting:
    Finalize project scope and schedule.

    Collect and coordinate the contract components:
    base agreement, scope and schedule
    Review and confirm insurance and bonding compliance. Set up project filing. Collect executed agreements and file for record.
    Coordinate with Finance to setup project financials including billing. Finalize sub-contract agreements (scope gaps). Obtain executed version. Work with Finance to obtain necessary information required to pay sub-contractor.
    Organize and run project internal kick off meeting. Complete project checklist.

    Management:
    Review monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts and adjust against actuals. Take corrective measures to ensure profitability.
    Work with project design team to coordinate the delivery of all Agorus scopes of work. Assist to coordinate work with other trades/disciplines. Monitor project scope against contract, identify potential change orders. Prepare and submit change order requests as necessary and appropriate.
    Schedule and run internal project meetings at a re-occurring cycle necessary to successfully delivery the project. Monitor project schedule versus actual and take corrective action to meet project requirements.

    Review project scope and schedule, assist Procurement with identification of materials purchases as long lead, medium lead and short-term lead.

    Confirm with Procurement that adequate inventory is available to deliver the project on schedule.

    Visit the project site on a regular basis to determine status of progress, verify quality of work is to specification, and appropriate resources are deployed.

    Take remedial action as necessary to correct issues.
    Review timecards for work on project.

    Make sure that work travels through the correct chain of custody and is signed off by the responsible party prior to handover.

    Coordinate shipping of manufactured scope to site. Confirm that manufactured scope is to specification. Take corrective action as necessary. Accept manufactured work at site (written acceptance).
    Coordinate, contract and purchase necessary materials and equipment to complete install. Submit invoices to Finance. Assist Finance as necessary with bill collections.
    Undertake final walkthrough with Agorus Superintendent and Project Superintendent prior to handover. Identify any incomplete work and/or work not to specification. Plan and execute corrective actions.

    10+ years experience in a residential construction project manager role
    Experience with project estimating, project scheduling, proposal and contract writing
    Undergraduate degree in architecture, engineering and/or construction science
