    :

    JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

    The Asset Manager will assist overseeing the organization's affordable housing-based portfolio, analyzing property-level operating statements, summarizing portfolio-level data, identifying and monitoring watch list properties, managing real estate tax assessments, property insurance claims, monitoring capital needs assessment, property stabilization metrics for new properties and performs site visits. The individual in this role must have the ability to perform in fast paced, goal driven environments.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review monthly financials for all properties, and prepare portfolio level performance reports
    • Identify and oversee any watch list properties
    • Review property level capital expense plan and oversee performance
    • Track property assessment for all properties and coordinate property tax appeals
    • Assist with providing project documents for audits
    • Permanent Insurance: obtain certificates and respond to stakeholder requests
    • Manage property insurance claims from incident to resolution
    • Work with various financing partners, state and federal agencies to provide stabilized lease-up reporting and respond notice requests
    • Work directly with in house and third-party property management companies currently managing properties in the portfolio
    • Monitor and report stabilization period lease-up and compliance performance
    • Travel required by car and plane: up to 40 percent of the time
    • Create analysis tools, monitoring methodology, perform analysis and prepare reports
    • Perform site visits to assess physical condition and assist with operations.

    Requirements:

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Associate's degree required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred. Field of study to include business, finance, accounting, paralegal, real estate, or other related field of study
    • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in the real estate, Section 42/LIHTC property and property management experience
    • Must be mathematical inclined
    • Project management experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Yardi experience is a plus
    • Possess the ability to work independently and remotely
