Requirements

Summary/Objectives:

The purpose of this position is to perform various accounting tasks to accurately record and report financial activity. This is a support position to provide adequate department coverage to complete work timely while maintaining proper internal controls.

Essential Functions

Assist with ongoing maintenance of the general ledger, comprehension and interpretation of data, troubleshoot and research accounting and processing issues.
Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, working with the Financial Reporting Accountant. This includes, but is not limited to the following: assigned journal entries, advanced account reconciliations, preparation of schedules required for SEC reporting.
Assist with preparation of the Bank's quarterly FDIC Call Report.
Understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).
Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information as needed.
Exercise professional judgement.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers and filing cabinets.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Accounting
Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel)
Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Ability to pay attention to detail and quality of work
Maintain records and complete assignments in a timely manner
Demonstrate willingness to be a team player
Prior relevant experience

Salary Description

$56,000-$64,000/year
