    Position: Staff Accountant

    Overview: Since 1977, ESS has been a leading supplier of hoses and hose assemblies for commercial and military applications throughout the world. Echelon Supply and Service is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Liverpool, NY based Accounting Team.

    Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of company reports and statements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor slow moving inventory and work closely with branches to help facilitate a sale or transfer
    • Support month-end close process that includes journal entries, inventory analysis, account reconciliations
    • Create monthly financial reports for the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cashflows
    • Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances to budgets and forecasts, and identifying trends in data
    • Maintain and reconcile database for sales tax using Avalara
    • Utilize SAP Concur to drive expense report completion and recording company-wide
    • Other ad-hoc financial reports as required

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/ Business. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
    • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
    • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
    • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to protect confidential data
