    Requirements


    Summary/Objectives:
    The purpose of this position is to perform various accounting tasks to accurately record and report financial activity. This is a support position to provide adequate department coverage to complete work timely while maintaining proper internal controls.

    Essential Functions


    • Assist with ongoing maintenance of the general ledger, comprehension and interpretation of data, troubleshoot and research accounting and processing issues.
    • Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, working with the Financial Reporting Accountant.
    This includes, but is not limited to the following:
    assigned journal entries, advanced account reconciliations, preparation of schedules required for SEC reporting.

    • Assist with preparation of the Bank's quarterly FDIC Call Report.
    • Understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).
    • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information as needed.

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers and filing cabinets.

    Required Education, Experience and Qualifications


    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
    • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel)
    • Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Ability to pay attention to detail and quality of work
    • Maintain records and complete assignments in a timely manner
    • Demonstrate willingness to be a team player
    • Prior relevant experience
