    Description

    is a fast-growing, fast-paced, innovative, probability-based panel housed within NORC at the University of Chicago, a world leader in research excellence.

    The Manager, Panel Operations is responsible for operational aspects of executing custom AmeriSpeak client studies, client-funded panels, and AmeriSpeak internal projects.

    Responsibilities include creating project collaterals, questionnaires and data collection workflow, coordinating with other internal teams such as Statistics, Strategic Communication, IT, and directing external vendors on project implementation from start to finish.

AmeriSpeak has become the primary survey partner of the nation's preeminent news service, The Associated Press .

    The outcome is a truly representative picture of America and, thus, more accurate research results for use in statistical surveys.

    Manage and collaborate on the creation of project collaterals such as invitation and reminder mailings, emails, text messages, and social media outreach incorporating survey research best practices for the specific target population.

    Provide advice on survey questionnaire design to ensure complete and accurate data collection.

    Manage, support, and collaborate on the design and implementation of data collection workflow from start to finish including sampling, sending out invitations/reminders, data collection infrastructure, project respondent support, and reward fulfillment.

    Manage and coordinate internal resources and external vendors such as Statistics, Strategic Communication, IT, Telephone Interviewers, web and print designer, print and mailing vendor, incentive fulfillment vendors, and others.

    Collaborate on development of panel engagement and retention programs to ensure active long-term participation of project respondents; development of panel management programs to maintain accurate and up-to-date panel information; Supports business development workflow for proposal, pricing, and contracting support for custom client-projects and client-funded panels.

    Bachelor's degree. 5 years of survey research experience with minimum of 1 year client management experience. Strong preference for candidates with 2-year survey operation/execution experience.
    ~2 years of experience managing and mentoring staff.
    ~ Advanced knowledge of the principles and processes of survey research.
    ~ Proficiency with data management in SAS and/or SPSS (SAS preferred); Microsoft Office software, including word processors, spreadsheets and graphics (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    ~ Quantitative analysis skills, well-developed problem-solving skills, time management, personal organization, attention to detail, discretion, and composure skills.
    ~ Strong client management and communication skills.
    ~ Ability to manage multiple projects, identify and mitigate project risks and work effectively with multiple departments, stakeholders and internal/external clients.
    ~ Ability to work effectively collaboratively with minimal supervision.
    ~ Knowledge of general office procedures, technology and equipment.
    ~ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and report writing for client deliverables for projects low, medium, and high complexity.
    ~ Occasional travel.
