    Associate Human Resources Business Partner

    About the role

    Passionate about People? Your next role will play a key role in various HR functions to support the organization's overall success. We're on the lookout for a versatile Associate Human Resources Business Partner who can help us implement our human capital strategy, employee relations, HR compliance, and employee engagement while providing advice and coaching to managers and employees on HR related matters. Based in our modern Irvine office you will be responsible for the well-being of our people.

    What you'll be doing

    As part of the Human Resources Organization, you'll help handle HR related inquiries and providing timely and accurate information to employees and managers. At all levels, colleagues will rely on your expertise to handle issues and enable employees. It's a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you'll mainly be involved with:
    • Responding to inquiries via walk-in traffic, and email.
    • Resolve ServiceNow tickets that are assigned to the HRBP team.
    • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with HR policies and regulations.
    • Support HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, employee engagement, talent management, etc. to enhance the overall HR function and align HR initiatives with business objectives.
    • Analyze trends and metrics related to HR-related policies and procedures, providing insight and proposing strategies for improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, by implementing initiatives to enhance employee morale and engagement.
    • Work together with HR Business Partners to address performance issues and support performance improvement actions when necessary.
    • Support investigations, including conducting interviews, acting as a witness, and taking notes, gathering data, and compiling findings. Partner with the HR Business Partner team on recommendations for resolution.
    • Mediate and facilitate the resolution in disputes between employees or between employees and management.
    • Address employee queries, concerns, and conflicts, working to resolve issues fairly and consistently.
    • Serve as a first point of contact for an assigned group of client managers.
    • Assist in the performance management process, guiding managers and employees on performance-related issues, including tracking and documenting employee and manager evaluations.
    • Provide coaching and training to supervisors and employees on effective communication and conflict resolution.
    • Advise management on employee relations matters, guiding best practices and compliance with HR policies.
    • Support organizational change management initiatives, helping employees and managers navigate changes and ensuring smooth transitions.
    What you'll bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field.
    • 3 - 5 years of work experience in a similar HR role.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing HR practices.
    • Strong investigative and analytical skills; solution-oriented.
    • Embraces ambiguity.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications and HR software (experience with Workday is preferred).
    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is preferred.
