After reviewing your job description, it’s clear that you’re looking for a candidate that is extremely familiar with the responsibilities associated with the role and can perform them confidently. Given these requirements, I am certain that I have the necessary skills to successfully do the job adeptly and perform above expectations.

I am a hard-working college student (3.3 GPA, Bachelor of Science in Journalism) currently attending California State University, Long Beach. During the course of my academic career, I also managed to accrue nearly 3 years of work experience. For two and a half years I worked at Regal Cinemas as a concessionist, serving and preparing snacks for customers, selling tickets, and cleaning theaters and restrooms. I learned to work under incredible stress during busy days for popular films such as Avengers: Endgame. It was during these days that I gained skills such as coming up with solutions on the spot while keeping customers satisfied. I also gained valuable communications skills, building great camaraderie with customers, coworkers, and my managers. For the past six months, I have had the privilege of working for PCC Rollmet as a certification clerk where I learned professional skills such as data entry, meeting strict and ever-changing deadlines, working directly with a team, and fixing issues to streamline work processes. I’ve gained valuable experience in working in a more professional and mature environment compared to my previous job. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as adaptable by my professors and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven service, communication, and teamwork skills, which I hope to leverage as an intern. I want to gain experience in my field of journalism, and I feel like this internship would be the perfect opportunity to do so.
