- Assists with payroll processing and ensuring accuracy. Follows up with supervisor, employees, and student workers on missing paperwork and to answer questions. Oversees time-clock software for all employees.
- Records financial transactions.
- Assists in month and year-end close.
- Assists in annual audit.
- Assists with grant accounting functions.
- Audits and processes tool invoices for student tool vouchers.
- Audits and processes expense reports.
- Responds to emails, employees, vendors, students, etc.
- Monitors receivables, Ranken credit cards, housing, etc.
- Assists in creating and posting journal entries.
- Provides excellent customer service to potential and current students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- Performs clerical duties such as filing, copying, processing mail, etc.
- Assists team members with other duties as needed.
- Several years of experience performing general accounting and payroll duties.
- Superior customer service skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in person, in writing, over the telephone, and via e-mail.
- Ability to assist prospective and enrolled students, parents, college staff, instructors, and all other individuals in a professional, confidential, and respectful manner.
- Ability to work as a team member and to display a positive mental attitude.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
- Ability to quickly master computer applications with accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to multi-task; excellent organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to details are important.

Purpose of the Role and Scope of Responsibility: Assists Business Office and Human Resources staff with accounting and payroll duties, ensuring tasks are performed accurately and within deadlines.
