Christian Hospital Respiratory is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist
PRN
Hours - Multiple
Shifts - 2 shifts every two weeks and 2 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
Rotating Weekends
Caring for adult patients' Respiratory needs throughout the Hospital

Located just six miles west of Christian Hospital, Northwest HealthCare offers 24-hour emergency care, a Sleep Disorders Center, and a range of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services

The Physical Therapy Department at Christian Hospital, serving patients of all ages with musculoskeletal deficiencies, is situated on the second floor

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Delivering direct patient care related to respiratory therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within hospital guidelines. Ability to independently apply advanced clinical respiratory expertise and knowledge, serving as a valuable resource within the patient care team. Ensuring patient safety through effective and age-appropriate care while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Engage in effective communication through information exchange and documentation, collaborating with the healthcare team

Provide education and training on respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients, families, students, new employees, and healthcare team members

Demonstrate accountability, seek learning opportunities, and manage time efficiently by performing multiple duties

Conduct various diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures, applying clinical expertise to assess, analyze, and troubleshoot as required

Showcase advanced clinical and critical care skills to support additional responsibilities such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilator support, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary and circulatory rehabilitation, Basic Life Support (BLS), etc.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Completion of Assoc/CoARC Accredited Program

Experience

No Prior Experience Required

Supervisor Experience

No Prior Supervisory Experience Needed

Licenses & Certifications

Basic Cardiovascular Life Support certification

Respiratory Care Practitioner certification

RRT Certification

Preferred Requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree is preferred
