- Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist to join the Christian Hospital Respiratory team.
- Full-Time Position
- Work Hours from 6:45pm to 7:15am
- Shift Patterns include 3/12's
- Rotating Weekend shifts
- Responsible for catering to the respiratory needs of adult patients throughout the entire hospital.
- Efficiently communicate through information exchange, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Conduct education and training on respiratory therapy treatments for patients, families, students, new staff, and other healthcare team members using varied learning styles.
- Take accountability for self-improvement, seek continuous learning opportunities, and efficiently manage multiple duties with effective time management.
- Perform diverse diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures following established standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies. Apply respiratory knowledge and clinical expertise to assess, analyze, and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical care skills to support additional responsibilities like ECMO support, mechanical ventilator support, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary and circulatory rehabilitation, and Basic Life Support (BLS), when required.
- Completion of an Assoc/CoARC Accredited Program
- No Prior Experience Required
- No Prior Supervisory Experience Needed
- Basic Cardiovascular Life Support Certification
- Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification

The Physical Therapy Department at Christian Hospital, situated on the second floor of the facility, caters to patients of all ages dealing with musculoskeletal deficiencies.
Preferred QualificationsRole Overview
The role involves providing direct patient care related to respiratory therapy, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the hospital and department's standards. Utilize advanced respiratory expertise, serving as a valuable resource to the patient care team. Ensure patient safety by delivering care effectively and complying with quality and regulatory requirements, along with engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
