    Your role in helping us shape the future:

    U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. In this position you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to to drive the successful execution of financial reporting, planning, analysis and other business projects. This position partners closely with leaders of the business to consolidate and organize multiple financial reporting and analysis processes utilizing professional accounting standards and practices.

    Are you up to the challenge?
    • Support the Finance budgeting and forecasting process, building reports and schedules to collect and analyze information from the business.
    • Prepare and control monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established budgets and forecasts.
    • Analyze financial results, including both the P&L and balance sheet, to assist with strategic guidance and decision making.
    • Analyze budgets, expenses, and financial trends to provide detailed insights and recommend cost-effective measures.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends. Develop and maintain advanced financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
    • Collaborate seamlessly with various teams to optimize budgets, enhance efficiency, and support overall business goals.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities, monitor portfolios, and provide strategic recommendations for optimizing returns.
    • Ad hoc support and requests.
    Position Requirements

    You should definitely have:
    • One to twelve months' experience as a Financial Analyst or similar position.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    In New York City, the anticipated base salary for this position is $50,000 to $70,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
