Description

SUMMARY

Assist the Director, Rate & Budgets with the preparation of regulatory rate filings and the annual budget. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting and driving company values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Rate Filings and Analysis

Assist the Director, Rates & Budgets with the preparation of initial financial documents for all rate matters.

Prepare responses to data requests.

Assist in the preparation of Lead Lag Studies for use in developing Cash Working Capital.

Preparation of bi-monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Preparation of Rate of Returns (RORs) for regulated companies

Budget Process

Assist the Director, Rate & Budgets with the coordination and preparation of the annual budgets for all companies.

Support budget stakeholders in the preparation and review of budget submissions.

Load accurate budget information into financial systems.

Develop budgets for revenues and other various accounts as assigned.

Maintenance of budgets throughout the year.

Assist in the preparation of the monthly Reforecast and Five-Year Plan (as needed).

Management Reporting / Other

Create / enhance / maintain system generated operating reports to meet organizational needs.

Assist on ERP related implementations/updates, including testing

Assist on ad hoc requests as required.

Analyze all work products for reasonableness as compared to budget, historical information or known trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years financial analyst and/or accounting experience, well organized with the ability to work independently.

Public utility and budget experience desired.

Advanced financial system experience.
