    Description

    Position: Sous Chef at Brennan's

    Brennan's is a highly acclaimed restaurant recognized as a finalist for the 'Outstanding Restaurant' award by the James Beard Foundation in 2022. Additionally, it has received prestigious accolades such as 'Grand Award' by the Wine Spectator and has been listed as one of the 'Best Restaurants in New Orleans Right Now' and '50 places in America we're most excited about right now' by the New York Times.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Sous Chef at Brennan's, you will be tasked with preparing contemporary, seasonal dishes with precision and passion. You will supervise all kitchen stations, provide guidance to culinary staff, and contribute to menu planning and dish creation. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will uphold the restaurant's high standards and quality in daily operations.

    Requirements:

    • Display leadership qualities in the kitchen and dining area.
    • Have a strong affinity for seafood.
    • Manage various kitchen staff members effectively.
    • Ensure kitchen targets are achieved and oversee menu execution.
    • Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all staff.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years of Sous Chef experience or a relevant Culinary degree
    • Proficient in fish butchery
