    Description

    Position Summary Provides leadership and direction to Facilities Development Team for design and construction activities in support of developing, maintaining, and/or improving corporate assets.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare facilities expansion and development. Responsibilities Essential Functions

    • Assists in directing, coordinating and scheduling work assignments in the production of new facilities or the repair and renovation of existing facilities.
    • Ensures adherence to and compliance with industry design and construction standards.
    • Oversees the construction project cost estimating process, and assists in developing overall project budgets.
    • Oversees project review processes and ensures compliance with standards, codes, regulations, laws and guidelines.
    • Manages the commissioning process for projects and post occupancy evaluations.
    • Monitors design and construction to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
    • Participates in the project vendor selection process and in evaluating the performance of firms rendering services.
    • Establishes and maintains contact with organizations, government agencies and educational and health care institutions.
    • Leads the Facilities Development Team in maintaining positive and productive relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Leads the Facilities Development Team in working cross-functionally across the organization to ensure successful delivery of projects.
    • Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
    • Develops and updates departmental project management standards and protocols.
    • Develops and successfully delivers on the annual departmental operational budget.
    • Maintain functional knowledge and use of the eBuilder project management system.
    • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other Federal, State and local standards.
    • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study. Licensure/Certification Active State of Florida Certified General Contractor's license, or active licensed professional architect or engineer.

      Experience Five years of progressively responsible construction management, engineering, facilities planning, or architecture experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

    Education/Training Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study. Licensure/Certification Active State of Florida Certified General Contractor's license, or active licensed professional architect or engineer.
