    Contracts Financial Analyst

    Internal

    Chantilly, VA (Hybrid- remote)


    Marathon TS is seeking a Contracts Financial Analyst to join our team to perform Contract duties, including understanding of contracts, contract set-up, reporting and invoicing to clients.

    Job Responsibilities

    Review new government and commercial contracts and work with Project Managers on the set-up for both reporting and billing for the client
    Set up contract for revenue purposes in Costpoint Accounting software
    Prepare weekly reports and ensure accuracy
    Communicate with client on an as-needed basis
    Ensure compliance with key control objectives and risk mitigation measures
    Support internal and external audits
    Process all funding and modifications to contracts
    Interact daily with Accounting and Operations
    Other duties as assigned


    Required qualifications:
    A bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of financial accounting and contract experience
    3 or more years of specific experience in Deltek Costpoint Project Accounting
    4 or more years of experience in a government contracting environment
    Ability to plan, execute, and deliver on projects in a timely manner; plus the ability to multi-task on varying projects and initiatives
    Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    Strong communication skills and experience, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team or organization
    Very high attention to detail and organized

    Additional desired experience and skills:
    Working knowledge of Cognos Impromptu a plus


    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
    Ability to bend, stoop and squat frequently
