Duties:


  • Identifies deviations from financial management plans, identifies trends which may have adverse financial effects, makes current and longterm projections, and analyzes costs of programs to assist in decision making.
  • Keeps informed of current developments in the functional field by attending and participating in meetings and through correspondence with counterparts in other organizations.
  • Serves as the focal point for assigned accounts and coordination on all matters pertaining to budget and fiscal activities, reviews, and analyses, and designated management reporting requirement

Conditions of Employment:


  • Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • A oneyear probationary period may be required.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Business
  • Financial Management Advanced Certification within 4 years of entrance on duty.
  • Financial Management Level 2 Certification must be obtained within 24 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level **(NH-02)


Specialized experience:

1) Analyzing financial or budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for budgetary actions; 2) Developing financial policies to implement; and 3) Providing advice to staff officials on matters such as the distribution of allotment and availability of budgetary funds.

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
