    Description

    Our client, an international PR agency, is looking for a freelance PR / Media Relations Specialist in LA/Santa Barbara to be part of their team for 10-15 hours per week ongoing or on an as-needed basis throughout the year.



    Key Qualifications:

    • Network of media contacts in luxury, fashion, lifestyle, travel, food & beverage industries.
    • Expertise in securing media coverage in quality press outlets and delivering high-quality media hits for agency's clients.
    • Willingness to actively participate in meetings, events, and media engagements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proactively pitch story ideas and news angles to key media outlets, ensuring maximum exposure for clients.
    • Manage relationships with stylists to secure product placements and collaborations aligning with brand image and target audience.
    • Expand network by building new relationships with media professionals.
    • Craft compelling media materials to effectively communicate client stories to media professionals and pitch ideas for media placements.
    • Participate in catchup calls and attend meetings, events, and media engagements.
    • Identify challenges and opportunities, adapt strategies to achieve desired results.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of Media Relations experience focusing on luxury, fashion, lifestyle, travel, and food & beverage brands with a strong network of media contacts.
    • Proven track record of securing media coverage and delivering high-quality hits.
    • Ability to think creatively, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively amidst varying demands.
    • Highly flexible, self-motivated, and results-driven with proficiency in PR reporting and data analysis.
    • Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills with professionalism and enthusiasm in representing Agency and clients.
    • Familiarity with the UK/London market and media monitoring tools is a plus.
