    Staff Accountant - Hybrid Opportunity at a Non-Profit in DC

    About the Company and Opportunity:

    • Our client is a nonprofit organization creating positive change in challenging environments around the world
    • Due to a vacancy, the organization is in need temporary Staff Accountant of a This position is hybrid based out of DC

    • Schedule is Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.

    Overview of the Accountant role:

    • Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and and bank accounts
    • Help with preparation of financial statements
    • Full cycle AP/AR
    • Analyzing balance sheets
    • Preparing financial statements
    • Assisting with payroll as needed
    • Month end close
    • Ad hoc projects

    Preferred Qualifications for the Accountant:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Prior experience with an international and/or non-profit organization is a plus.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
