- Participate in monthly closing and financial consolidation processes across all division locations, including recording of certain journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Compile and analyze balance sheet monthly, research balance sheet items and income/expense fluctuations.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Initiate and document internal controls and quarterly review procedures over financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested.
- Prioritize projects and drive new finance transformation requirements to completion.
- Respond to internal and external requests, including working with external auditors.
- Assist with auditor requests; and completion of ad-hoc projects from Controller and Finance Director as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related: CPA or MBA preferred
- Proficiency in US GAAP and understanding of internal controls
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and related financial systems/ERP systems

The Accounting Manager will report up through the Controller's Department, work closely with a strong team, and will have significant exposure to executive management.
The company is working a hybrid schedule, including 2-3 days onsite in the office every week, and is only considering candidates local to Richmond, VA or interested in moving to the Richmond, VA area.
