    Description

    Marathon TS is looking for a Knowledge Manager to be a crucial player in shaping the future for a novel Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD)-level establishment within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), based in Alexandria, VA.

    This Knowledge Manager position entails steering knowledge management efforts to effectively harness, organize, and leverage the organization's rich information resources. The overarching mission is to expedite the advancement and fusion of cutting-edge technologies for swift delivery of new military capabilities. As the Knowledge Manager, you will be tasked with formulating and executing knowledge management strategies to amplify productivity, decision-making, and innovation throughout the establishment. We are seeking a forward-thinking and ambitious professional who is enthusiastic about fostering knowledge sharing, teamwork, and training.

    The work location is hybrid at the Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia, with options for occasional telecommuting.

    Main Responsibilities Will Include:

    • Knowledge Strategy: Creating and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
    • Knowledge Capture: Identifying, gathering, and organizing valuable knowledge assets from various sources within the organization.
    • Knowledge Sharing: Setting up and managing knowledge-sharing systems to ensure easy information access for all personnel.
    • Training and Development: Designing and supervising training programs to cultivate a culture of knowledge exchange and continuous learning.
    • Content Management: Implementing and maintaining content management systems and knowledge repositories to uphold content quality and accuracy.
    • Collaboration: Promoting collaboration and information exchange across teams to enhance cross-functional knowledge sharing.
    • Metrics and Analytics: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of knowledge management efforts.
    • Technology Integration: Identifying and utilizing technology solutions, such as document management systems and intranets, to bolster knowledge management.
    • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to data protection and confidentiality regulations in knowledge management practices.
    • Knowledge Dissemination: Regularly communicating the value and impact of knowledge management initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
    Necessary Qualifications:
    • A decade of professional experience.
    • Demonstrated knowledge management proficiency with successful customer-centric initiatives.
    • Thorough understanding of knowledge management principles, tools, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in providing customer support using Microsoft applications like SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
    • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
    • Proactive, self-starting mentality with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Customer-focused, solution-oriented approach.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and engage stakeholders.
    • Analytical mindset to derive insights from data and drive continuous improvement.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Expertise in SharePoint Site Collection Administration for managing document libraries, lists, permissions, and workflows.
    • Proficiency in Intelink services such as IntelShare and IntelDocs.
    • Experience supporting various Pentagon staff customers.
    • Familiarity with interacting with the Joint Service Provider (JSP).
    Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or certification in a related field.
    Clearance Requirements:
    • Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
    • U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory prerequisite for this role.
