Trevor Kleese

In 2020 I graduated magna cum laude from the George Washington University, obtaining a BBA with concentrations in International Business and Sports Management. I also minored in German Language and Literature. In the workplace or in the classroom I’ve always focused on two things when diving in to new experiences, learning as much as I can and helping others. 

The experience from my current work in Short Term Rentals along with my previous roles have given me the opportunity to break down complex ideas like overall product life cycle and candidate relations in to manageable steps. I helped facilitate merchandise production for one of Macy’s largest private brands. I have also developed relationships from cold calling with healthcare professionals, developing a pool of talent from scratch to help clients find qualified individuals for their open positions. Being able to grow professional and personally through learning has always been a passion of mine. 

Throughout my work as a Student Mentor and Career Coach at the George Washington University, I taught business skills in classrooms and worked with underclass students individually. Some of these skills included how to write cover letters/resumes and how to network. I wanted to help others with these kind of things because I was once in their shoes and I wouldn’t be where I am today it weren’t for others taking the time to help me. 

Throughout these specific experiences along with others, I’ve enhanced a vast array of transferable skills including public speaking, working in teams, data analysis through Excel, cold calling, and developing plans.

•  Managed candidates throughout the recruiting process for a portfolio of five healthcare systems in Baltimore, recruiting for various roles such as nurses, hospital administrators, and front desk staff  
• Sourced candidates from medical backgrounds utilizing channels such as the company's ATS, ZipRecruiter, Indeed, and LinkedIn, conducting 25 monthly cold calls
• Interviewed eight candidates on a monthly basis, focusing on aligning their qualifications with the role requirements set by the client, while prioritizing a positive candidate experience

Macy’s | New York, Product Development Assistant (Jun 2021 – Jul 2022)  

• Developed 200 manufacturing purchase orders for Men’s section woven items, ensuring the production and delivery of $12MM worth of inventory § Facilitated seamless communication of design style modifications between two designers and seven international manufacturers by implementing them into the company's online system, ensuring efficient collaboration  
• Liaised between the buying team and overseas manufacturing operations through Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint to ensure the timely arrival of 1K photography samples that facilitated the creation of catalogs and online product listings for six seasons  
• Fully trained my replacement within two weeks, 83% more efficient compared to the standard training program 

EPD Program Trainee (Dec 2020 – Jun 2021) 

• Acquired a holistic understanding of Macy's operations through a training program, which involved one-on-one mentoring and participation in 15 workshops led by industry experts, focusing on software applications  
• Conducted and presented a competitive analysis, comparing Macy's to the high-end retail brand Zara, specifically evaluating marketing strategies for new product initiatives, website product presentation, and user experience
