- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Sets up new customer accounts after performing relevant credit checks and identity verification procedures as defined by the business.
- Processes credit hold and release requests
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
- Communicates with customers to provide statements, invoices, etc. to follow up with outstanding payments.
- Processes payments from customers through check, ACH, credit card, online orders, etc.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Controller & A/P team.
- Collaborates with the Controller to reconcile accounts receivable with bank statements and any fees incurred
- Degree preferred: Finance or Economics, Business Studies and Accounting
- Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required
- Preferred: Oracle NetSuite ERP experience
- Microsoft Excel skills
