Process Improvement Coordinator - New York, United States - JMS Technical Solutions

    Default job background
    Description
    07th May, 2024

Our partner in Nashville, North Carolina is looking to add a Process Improvement Coordinator to join their growing team

This is a direct hire/on-site position

Pay: Offered $70-$75,000 with GREAT BENEFITS and 401k offered

Position Summary: Champion the continuous improvement of the production work environment and all facility production processes. Manage the entire communication center program for the facility. Serve as the Lean expert as needed to continuously improve production and process efficiencies, implement lean tools, and coordinate training programs as needed to support all the above.

    Duties / Responsibilities:
    • Collect data for daily slideshows - overtime reports, OSHA recordable information, Quality Assurance audits, Turnover information, hire date anniversaries, birthdays, weekly safety walk scores, weekly housekeeping scores.
    • Transfer data into spreadsheets so we can track history and identify areas we can improve on.
    • Create spreadsheets and graphs to evaluate data in an easy-to-understand format; link this information to the slideshows so it can be shared with the production team on a daily basis.
    • Create PowerPoint slideshows for use daily - this will include inspirational slides, safety slides, daily tailgate info and any plant news.
    • Download updated slideshows onto flash drives every afternoon then plug them into all TVs so they are ready for morning meetings.
    • Collect Safety, Quality, Housekeeping and Connection data and transfer to Department Manager weekly evaluations and other paperwork by Friday at noon.
    • Work with the General Manager and Production Manager(s) to identify Lean projects then work with facility fabricator, if needed, to expedite applications.
    • Interact with the Production Managers and Department Mangers to identify Lean projects then prioritize and execute a game plan to implement.
    • Coach all team members if you see any unsafe acts, make sure team members are working in a safe manner and are wearing their PPE. (hardhats, ear plugs, safety glasses, fall protection, saw safety, cut resistant gloves).
    • Work together each day to resolve Lean issues. Work opportunities back to the source to streamline them. Communicate with the other team members when you see opportunities that need addressing instead of letting opportunities to continue to be an issue.
    • Assist with the onboarding of new hires - pay special attention to their continuous development and perception of our culture. Be available to listen to their concerns and make their success a priority for the team. This should be for the duration of their 90-day probationary period not just their first week.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, etc. strongly preferred
    • 0-2 years' prior relevant experience
    • Continuous willingness to learn, grow, and gain understanding as a leader in our organization
