- Abstract data from medical records/EMR or other tools using the appropriate guidelines to provide accurate and timely information for the department's customers, DOH, TJC, and CMS.
- Trains and educates internal and external customers on the core measure rules and guidelines.
- Review outlier charts for accuracy and perform and record inter-rater reliability (IRR) checks. Network with departmental customers using various techniques to team building using various communication techniques.
- Performs data entry with an approved accuracy rate in the defined timeframe.
- Responsible for generating monthly and quarterly reports related to Quality Measure compliance.
- Responsible for reviewing the records requested by the designated vendor for external chart audit validation of submitted quality data.
- Serves as an educational resource on the specific measure/registry for internal and external audiences as needed.
- Identifies streamlining, documentation, and process improvement opportunities in the data collection process.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Licensed RN in NY State
2 + years of data management, data analysis, or quality improvement experience in an acute care or clinical setting preferred.
