    Description
    HR Generalist ($30-40/hr, depending on experience) Temp to Hire
    West Hartford, CT
    Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm

    In partnership with a longstanding local client, J. Morrissey is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in human resources (preferably healthcare) and will help lead employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance activities.
    Responsibilities
    • Full cycle recruitment - job postings, screening resumes, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding/orientation
    • Benefits - administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance and retirement plans
    • Payroll - hours entry and PTO tracking
    • Employee relations - conflict resolution, performance management/reviews, and discipline as needed
    • Maintain HRIS to ensure data integrity and generate reports
    • Employee engagement - coordinate employee engagement activities to poster a positive work environment and morale
    • Manage Family Medical Leave act (FMLA) requests and documentation
    Qualifications
    • 4+ years of experince in HR, preferably in the healthcare field
    • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is strongly preferred - Associate's with 6+ years in HR may be acceptable as well
    • Must have experience with HRIS management, payroll, and benefits enrollment
