Procurement Generalist - Plainville, United States - Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project needs and company objectives.
- Support the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors under the guidance of senior procurement managers.
- Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, including project managers and engineers, to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Help maintain supplier relationships, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues to facilitate smooth procurement operations.
- Contribute to analyzing market trends, pricing, and supplydemand dynamics to support informed decisionmaking.
- Assist in managing procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Support in monitoring supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Aid in tracking procurement budgets, expenditures, and costsaving initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and compliance standards related to procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
