Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent.
- Two plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources to include employee relations and compliance.
- Specialized training in employment law, employee relations, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Always maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate positively and sensitively to employees who come from a wide range of personal, social, cultural, ethnic, racial, educational, and professional backgrounds.
- Clear background check required
Duties:
- Assists with the implementation of the performance management system.
- Maintains agency handbook(s) as well as oversight of other Agency Divisions protocols by ensuring that compliance standards are being met.
- Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and Agency. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
- Maintains employeerelated information.
- Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employeremployee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
- Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
- Provides payroll processing backup support. Reviews payroll for quality assurance. Partners with accounting and payroll to maintain the payroll database.
- Assists with benefits administration services.
- Processes various benefits and employment forms and provides information concerning all health and welfare and fined benefit plans; and assist with open enrollment.
- Acts as liaison between Workers Comp/Health Ins/Life/AD&D/Unemployment/403(b)/Flex Spending brokers and Agency.
- Helps to monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the Agency's goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the HR Manager or Designee
