Human Resources Generalist
Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources (HR) for the agency. Maintains compliance with State and Federal HR related regulations and legislation, while supporting the agency's mission.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee and support recruitment efforts including background checks, onboarding, and record keeping including tracking trainings and performance evaluations.
- Processes and tracks Family Medical Leave and CT Paid Leave
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations and postings.
- Provides support of Employee Handbook and personnel policies.
- Coordinates and supports administration with staff trainings.
- Assist with projects to accomplish departmental goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years HR experience (in a nonprofit organization preferred).
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Valid CT Driver's License and means of transportation
- Automobile insurance in force per Kuhn's specifications when using personal vehicle for work related purposes.
- Ability to complete all required administrative functions.
- Ability to travel to/from various agency locations, meetings and seminars as needed.

Salary:
$23.00 per hour
