    Description
    Title: Database Developer

    Location: Austin, TX

    Duration: Long Term

    Job Description: This position will work with the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) development team to provide the following Software Development Services:
    • Perform technical analysis by reviewing the user requirements and create design documents.
    • Perform coding adhering to Client and industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
    • Perform testing verifying they match the requirements, including the creation of test data, test cases and test scripts.
    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required (i.e., design documents, process flows, object or data models, project plans, environment diagrams, test plans, etc.).
    • Collaborate with the project team for sprint/release work on tasks such as providing development effort estimates, discussing architecture and design, triaging, and resolving defects or issues in multiple environments and providing status on work assignments or issues.

    Required Skills:
    • 8 years of experience in SQL: basic CRUD, joins, group by, having, where. Referential integrity and database tuning techniques.
    • 8 years of experience and knowledge in use of Oracle stored procedures, PL/SQL, Dynamic SQL, and Exception handling
    • 8 years of experience in working the full Software Development Life Cycle in an Object-Oriented framework
    • 8 years of experience in XML, JSON, API Testing, JavaScript and JQuery
    • 4 years of experience in highly skilled in designing, coding and supporting business/validation reports using Jasper
    Preferred Skills:
    • 2 years of experience in previous experience with Bitbucket and Jira
    • 2 years of experience in previous experience with Texas Student Data System (TSDS) preffered
    • 2 years of experience in previous experience with Ed-Fi Data Standards and Technologies
