    Description

    My client, a steel and pipe supplier, is hiring for a Credit and Collections Manager in Baltimore, MD.

    The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of credit management experience in a construction/industrial environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, a background in accounts receivable and experience with Dun and Bradstreet and Excel.

    Job duties include:

    • nalyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
    • Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
    • Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
    • Review individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection.
    • Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
    • Consult with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.
    • Engage and maintain customer relationship in order to ascertain current financial health/risk of customer
    • When necessary, execute progressive collection efforts
