    Job Summary

    The Operations Manager will assist in managing the Knowledge Management team's organizational processes and operations to ensure appropriate alignment with the Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) strategy. RSM's knowledge managers are spread across different lines of businesses and functional areas. This individual is responsible for maintaining strong relationships and connectivity with our firm's knowledge managers by providing guidance, support, and training across these dotted-line relationships. Key focus areas will be to aid in the hiring and onboarding of knowledge managers, to assist in observing and managing quality assurance programs, and to provide feedback.

    The ideal candidate is adaptable to thrive in a dynamic business environment, implementing changes in processes, strategies, or objectives as necessary. This skill requiresresilience, openness to change, and the ability to lead teams through transitions smoothly. This individual is also able to effectively prioritize tasks based on urgency and business need changes.

    Essential Duties

    • Serves as the relationship lead for the firm's knowledge managers
      • Establishes a cadence of meetings with individual field knowledge managers to better understand their unique needs
      • Be the EKM liaison providing insights into enterprise initiatives across the organization
      • Partners with the business to plan new initiatives and determine how they fit into business capabilities, roadmaps, and priorities
      • Mitigates and/or escalates issues as appropriate
      • Fosters a community of collaboration and sharing across knowledge managers. Helps to align and connect dots
      • Coordinate agenda and facilitate the annual, monthly, and quarterly knowledge manager calls
      • Participates in knowledge manager performance assessment and career growth
    • Hiring and onboarding
      • Provides interview and hiring support for new knowledge manager positions
      • Aids with the transition between knowledge managers within a Line of Business or Functional Area
      • Provides the operational training/instruction to effectively on-board new employees
        • Sets up mentorships and provides introductions for new knowledge managers
        • Provide best practices around knowledge management duties, including governance, connecting with stakeholders, content lifecycle
        • Assists in knowledge management specific onboarding
    • Training support to firm's knowledge managers
      • Understands individual knowledge manager strengths and weaknesses and helps foster their growth through training and guidance opportunities
      • Shares learning events, collaboration, and team building events
      • Assists in writing guidance and best practices
    • Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures to support EKM's current and future strategy
    • Provide ongoing operational support, oversight and process adherence for Enterprise Knowledge Management and firm-wide policy and procedures
      • Participates in site/content inspections to ensure ongoing site maintenance and integrity
      • Ensures adherence to intranet governance models
      • Monitor reporting regarding intranet site collections
      • Provides feedback on quality management and improvements
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required)

    EXPERIENCE

    • Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required

    TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

    • Working to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products including SharePoint, MS Teams, and Viva Engage, required
    • Knowledge of Viva Suite, preferred
    • Possess strong technical and analytical aptitude and has demonstrated ability to apply skills, preferred
    • Operations/business process documentation, preferred
    • Advanced problem solver; identifies problems, develops solutions and manages implementation, required
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities; meets time expectations. Able to manage day-to-day activities while understanding risks and aligning with strategy, required
    • Develops best practices and standards that ensure efficient processes; focuses on continuous improvement, preferred
    • Project management, business analysis and process improvement skills, preferred

    LEADERSHIP SKILLS

    • Ability to travel on occasion to participate in firm or department meetings and training seminars, preferred
    • Previous experience managing project team members, required
    • Previous experience navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues, required
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Strong presentation skills and experience with developing and delivering training programs, preferred
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and push back when needed, required

    Compensation Range: $92,600 - $159,000

    Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
