    Position at Pavarini North East Construction Co.

    Project Accounting Manager | Pavarini Northeast Construction Company, LLC.


    The PA Manager oversees the day-to-day financial aspects of the project life cycle from project set up through the project close out process in collaboration with project managers, PNE leadership and the project accounting staff.


    This individual will interact with the Pavarini President, Director of Project Accounting, Regional VP of Finance, Senior Leadership Team members, and operations management to enable effective financial reporting, revenue and cost management, cash flow, risk management and shared service partnership.

    The environment requires the PA Manager to be at a hands-on level and serve as a financial mentor for a fast paced, demanding business.

    Key duties and responsibilities for this role include the following:

    Perform Revenue recognition oversight
    Prepare month end/ad hoc reporting and analysis
    Research and document project billing/revenue issues and assist project managers with resolution
    Perform monthly regulatory reporting, including tax and compliance
    Perform weekly GAP analysis reporting
    Proactively monitor timeliness of billing
    Follow-up with project managers regarding collections
    Verify the proposed set-up of large or complex projects to ensure alignment with the contract/proposal
    Review complex draft invoices
    Manage the project accounting staff as it pertains to operational functions
    Audit and Compliance
    Cost control
    Coordinate activities of internal and external auditors
    Strong communication, analytical and management skills
    Financial software subject matter expert

    Qualifications

    The Desired candidate will have strong communication, analytical and management skills.

    The candidate should possess strong knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), in addition to:

    10+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably project accounting.
    3+ years of experience as a project accounting manager, or similar.
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.

    Professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA) or chartered global management accountant (CGMA) is strongly preferred.

    Industry experience is strongly preferred.
