Job Summary:
The Site Coordinator manages a single program site and is responsible for ensuring a safe, organized, fun and educational after school program
Duties/Responsibilities:
Create a smooth transition between instructional day and expanded learning programAttend school site events to engage with parents, school site and recruit participantsWork with Program Managers to strategically manage site level budget and create a spending plan that is in line with program planEnsure that program plans and calendars are up to date and postedBuild community support by providing high-quality programing that engages participants and provides them a safe, healthy space to thriveMaintain daily attendance records, ensure that all attendance deadlines are metHave a clear line of communication with parents, school administration and site staff.
Have regular site meetingsMaintain up-to-date records on all participants and site staffApprove site staff timesheets with all deadlinesDistribute parent handbooks with up-to-date site policies and procedures and program registrations and hold parent orientationOutreach with potential partners in the community to sustain program outcomesCollaborate with appropriate school, community, public and private stakeholders to leverage program resources.
Manage all incident reports and ensure that they are properly documentedPost, advertise and actively recruit participants for the programMaintain and update FPM boxAttend all WFIT professional development opportunitiesSet bi-weekly staff schedules/rosterHold weekly staff meetings on siteManage site budget by making sure that staff are within their hours and that supplies being purchased are in line with program needsOther responsibilities as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Graduate or majoring in education, physical education, recreation or a related field is desirable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience developing and implementing expanding learning programs and or educational activitiesAt least one-year experience in a supervisor role.
At least two years experience working with youth requiredPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Regular physical activity participation is requiredSpecial Skills:
