- A dynamic commercial candidate who is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and can have roundtable discussions with various key stakeholders in your customer's Procurement, Marketing/CI and Technical/R&D teams.
- Interested in talent management and have experience with direct reports.
- Has identified white space opportunities, identified commercial targets and has built commercial strategies to go after offensive projects and/or defend key business.
- Can effectively problem solve by showing initiative to find solutions and can offer options to senior management for critical decision making.
- Basic knowledge of the sales negotiation process and/or supplier contracts.
- Has experience with technically challenging projects i.e. stability issues, etc.
- Has the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Building and maintaining knowledge of the consumer fragrance industry, with a key focus in identifying product gaps to unlock sales opportunities.
- Interfacing with key customer decision-makers to validate and qualify opportunities in order to maximize profitability
- Identifying innovative solutions which meets consumer and customer needs, beyond competition
- Managing and executing complex and demanding projects by energizing and leading cross-functional teams
- Developing and delivering compelling presentations that provide valuable insight
- Responsible for delivering your teams sales targets and growth strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Multi-task and be agile to support a dynamic culture.
- 10+ years' working experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Financial savvy i.e. pricing, margin, forecasting, statistics and IT systems.
- Proficient in Power Point and Excel with strong to advanced knowledge of programs.
- Customer Intimacy
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of internal partners; able to gain their trust and respect.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Able to present to large groups of people.

In this role you will have the opportunity to impact the regional strategy plan to achieve profitable growth in line with the global organization. Working in a collaborative team environment, IFF will be looking for you to partner with the Creative team - Perfumers, Scent Design Group, CI and Marketing, and our scent innovation and technology group to showcase IFF's creative capabilities. This role is based in our Bellworks Creative Center in Holmdel, NJ, but ideally we are looking for a candidate who had flexibility to work out of our New York City office as needed.
