    Description

    A recognized healthcare organization in New York City is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff as a Director of Admissions.

    Responsibilities:

    The Director of Admissions will:

    • Coordinate admissions for nursing and rehab center for all new patients and returning patients to ensure all required clinical information is available to the Admitting Nurse
    • Complete daily census, including upcoming discharges and admissions
    • Create and handle Primary Care Physician tracking reports for incoming patients to open lines of communication between facility and physicians offices
    • Maintain client relations to increase admissions to the facility
    • Tour family members within the facility and coordinate with heartland health care hospital liaison for new admissions to the facility
    • Coordinate team meetings, take minutes, and update members, as necessary
    • Create documents and reports to assist in keeping team members informed
    • Assist with events planning for the facility and outside events where the facility is involved
    • Maintain processes within the facility to ensure the continuation of communication between departments as they pertain to admits and discharges
    • Ensure admissions agreement and contracts are signed by new patients in a timely manner and consequently filed appropriately in the business office
    • Perform other duties, as needed
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Experience with Admissions in a Nursing Home
    • Experience working in a Nursing Home at Director level
    Desired Skills:
    • Master's Degree in Nursing
