- Continually updates and shares knowledge of evolving healthcare quality environment including pay for performance programs and associated best practices. Strong verbal and written communication using multiple formats. Abstracts, formats, and communicates data from internal and external sources to a variety of audiences. Demonstrates in-depth data analysis, process evaluation and redesign, and valid measures of success.
- Partners with hospital and physician leadership and staff to remain survey ready, based on standards and guidelines defined by state and national accreditation and regulatory agencies. Adept in authoring and executing acceptable project and/or action plans. Identifies opportunities to highlight hospital signature services in positive manner.
- Three years acute care quality leadership experience required.
- Clinical practice (nursing, pharmacy, therapy) for three or more years preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field required. Master's degree in healthcare related field preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Quality and Safety acts as a principal quality leader. Actively collaborates with the Vice President of Quality and Compliance and Chief Medical Officer for Chippenham and Johnston-Willis Hospitals to assure standard practices across both hospitals. Leads cross campus quality activities as directed, and expands oversight in absence of VP. Role is directly involved in activities that forward the organization meeting or exceeding organizational quality goals (process measures, outcomes, efficiency, service).
