    Our client is a 50+ year old D2C and B2B distributor for top-rated wineries within the greater Napa Valley region.

    They have transformed their business into sustainable relationships with the wine industries leading labels providing wine club services, supply chain operations, storage, and order fulfilment with a strong focus in sustainability and strong company values.

    SUMMARY
    The Director of Operations is responsible for the efficient execution of the organization's warehouse operations.

    This position guides the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures, effectively delegating responsibilities to ensure members' products are received, stored and fulfilled with the highest level of quality and service.

    The role manages external relationships with key vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring KPIs are met on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.

    The role will oversee teams across three warehouse locations in Northern California's Napa Valley, plus a warehouse in Louisville, KY (managed by a 3PL provider).

    In the next 36 months our clients Napa Valley warehouses will consolidate into one large facility located in the southern part of the Napa Valley.


    Role you will play:


    Provide leadership through effective employee relations, including positive communications, coaching, training, and development to support a positive culture within Operations.

    Seek to elevate staff capabilities and provide positive professional development.
    Direct daily fulfillment operation activities.

    Coordinate with other departments as necessary to ensure communication and alignment on key objectives such as seasonal work load, inventory control, quality and on time order execution to ensure on-time delivery is effective.

    In coordination with Member Success, balance staffing and capacity to ensure the efficient execution of fulfillment schedules.
    Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy. Develop and execute on operational goals and strategies to support company objectives including initiatives geared towards operational excellence.
    Drive continuous improvement through innovation, effective organizational management, budgeting, reporting, project management and supply chain excellence.
    Apply supply chain expertise to manage key logistics processes, including vendor management, shipping, inventory, warehousing, and transportation.
    Lead parcel carrier negotiations, rate negotiations, carrier performance, freight cost budgeting & cost management for inbound and outbound transportation.
    Oversee execution in our Kentucky facility via third-party logistics partner and maintain regular tracking of KPIs and vendor performance.
    Manage and guide the organizations efforts to minimize greenhouse gas emissions for itself and its members.
    Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the

    Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions in accordance with HR guidelines.

    Accountable for tax-paid and bonded storage compliance as well as other beverage alcohol compliance requirements.
    Implement policies and procedures/SOPs that will improve day-to-day warehouse operations.
    Integrate Core Values) throughout warehouse operations. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    Participates in the hiring, training and development of departmental managers.
    Conduct timely, constructive performance evaluations.
    Manages discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company HR policy.


    Background Profile:


    Bachelor's degree in business administration; Extensive and diversified background with 10 or more years' experience in mid-high volume omni-channel fulfillment operation(s).

    Knowledge in facilities management.
    Experience managing and implementing Warehouse Management System's (WMS) across multiple distribution centers.
    Proven ability to lead an omni-channel distribution center focused on D2C and B2B operations
    Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization.


    COMPENSATION
    $150,000- $190,000 base salary
