    Description

    Kelvin Group is looking for an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our growing team. The Payroll Manager will own the payroll process and will be the main point of contact for their designated Business Unit. This role reports directly to the Director, HRIS & Payroll.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Process weekly payrolls in both ERP and Payroll systems, validating payroll data and reviewing payroll reports.
    • Accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions within the ERP and HRIS systems including new hires, terminations, and other pay and job changes.
    • Prepares and manages monthly Union reporting (if applicable to the Business Unit).
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices as well as adherence to organizational policies and collective bargaining agreements.
    • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
    • Identifies and troubleshoots payroll discrepancies.
    • Proactively address employee payroll matters to maintain employee satisfaction.
    • Create and maintain payroll processes and procedures.
    • Manage the process of setting up various federal, state, and local tax accounts working with the payroll provider and the various governmental agencies.
    • Work with payroll provider on tax notifications to resolve any discrepancies.
    • Generate reports out of ERP and HRIS systems.
    • Serves as back up for multi-company payrolls.
    • Responsible for quarter and year end reconciliation including W-2 review.
    • Other projects as assigned.
    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
    • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes and laws
    • Experience with Union and construction payroll a plus
    • Multi-state payroll experience
    • Prioritization of data protection and confidentiality
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Self-starter and able to work independently
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • Proficient with payroll software - Paylocity a plus
    • Experience with ERP system- Spectrum a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
    • 5+ years of payroll processing experience required
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
