    Description
    DutiesPlans, designs and implements training and informational programs, including the development of training and resource materials.
    Provides advice and consultation to management regarding training acquisition or modifications related to training requirements.
    Serves as the primary liaison to the Agency's contracting function.
    Manages or assists in the procurement, business agreements, performance standards and evaluations of contracts.

    Represents the office in dealing with federal, state, and local organizations at a national level and speaks authoritatively on victim services policy, programmatic and administrative matters pertinent to the goals, objectives and operations of the Training and Technical Assistance portfolio.

    Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level.

    Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.


    Examples of specialized experience include:
    Serving as a technical expert in training and technical assistance for victims and survivors of crime.

    Leading long-range planning, development and analysis of existing and new, substantive training and technical programs where precedents are scarce or nonexistent.

    Serving as a liaison to stakeholders in the area of training and technical assistance strategies that are compliant with applicable statutes, regulations, best practices, specific program emphases, and other organizational objectives.

    This position has a duty station of Washington, D.C.

    The selectee will be required to physically report to the OJP office building at least four (4) days per bi-weekly pay period and may incorporate leave and official travel plans into this reporting requirement.

    The office director or supervisor may request the selectee's presence in the office more frequently, as determined by the needs of the office.

    The selectee will be responsible for covering all commuting-related travel expenses. OJP employees are eligible for one transportation benefit - parking or the Department of Justice (DOJ) transit subsidy.
    OJP offers opportunities for flexible work schedules.
