About The Job
Position Summary:
Breezeline is actively seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team This role will report to the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partners and build strong partnerships across the organization, track and report on financial performance as well as provide analysis to support opportunities.
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, possess a natural curiosity, and be driven to make an impact as a trusted advisor to the business.
This role will be primarily focused on partnering with the Engineering, Technical Operations and Customer Operations departments. This position will be based out of our Quincy Massachusetts office.Responsibilities
Lead/support budget, forecasts and business plans through collaboration with internal stakeholders across the organization
Partner with assigned business functions to track financial performance, provide financial information and updated forecasts, and compile analysis to help guide decision making and set strategy
Research and communicate monthly/quarterly variances in preparation for month-end close meetings
Provide financial analysis to business unit management, recommending actions and highlighting risks and opportunities
Recommend best practices, efficiencies and cost management initiatives to business management and Senior Leadership
Create presentation materials and automated reporting to effectively communicate results and actions
Attend weekly/bi-weekly staff meetings communicating applicable financial topics with a focus on proactivity
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive short- and long-term objectives
Facilitates ongoing compliance with internal procedures, policies and best financial practices
Complete other projects and analyses as assigned or as needs are recognized
Some travel will be necessary for projects and priorities
Qualifications
2-5 years experience working in a finance related role (industry experience not required)
Undergraduate degree in a business-related field with an emphasis in finance and/or accounting
Highly proficient with accounting principles, financial terms, budgets, and financial reports
High degree of maturity, honesty, trust and integrity
Ability to partner with all levels of an organization (experience presenting financial reports to management a major plus)
Ability to connect expenses with KPI's
Self starter, creative thinker and solid analytical problem solving skills
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
Strong and effective communication skills (both oral and written)
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint (Google Sheets and Slides experience a plus)
Proficient with Financial Systems (Workday experience a plus)
