Position Overview:
We are seeking an exceptionally talented Pharmaceutical Financial Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of a key product for an ultra-rare neurological disease.
You will be responsible for performing various types of valuations, comparative analyses, and cost estimates related to our product development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and valuation of pharmaceutical companies and their assets, including drugs, patient populations, and patents.
- Perform due diligence investigations into potential M&A opportunities to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Develop detailed financial models and forecasts to guide investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Estimate accurate costs and development timelines for R&D activities and regulatory processes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing key findings and scenarios to support internal discussions and external communications.
Required Qualifications:
- High level of experience in financial modeling of pharmaceutical assets, with a focus on rare diseases.
- Ability to use investigational skills to determine accurate estimates of NPV and rNPV for pharmaceutical assets.
- Proficiency in creating accurate financial models for products in development and inmarket forecasting.
- Strong knowledge in defining addressable patient populations and market shares.
- Understanding of basic pharmacology and relevant pharmaceutical sciences.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical supply chain and pricing dynamics.
- Proficiency in utilizing mathematical and statistical techniques to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
- Experience with modeling programs such as Excel, C++, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze the commercial potential of assets currently in development.
- Skill in predicting development costs, timelines, and probabilities of success.
Preferential Qualifications:
- Experience or familiarity working in the rare disease/orphan drug space and orphan drug economics.
- Knowledge of pricing dynamics for specialty pharmaceutical products, especially ultrarare disease assets.
- Familiarity with the regulatory approval process for smallmolecule pharmaceuticals.
- Strong understanding of US healthcare systems, including Managed Care Organizations, Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial insurance programs, pharmaceutical distribution/supply chains, and pricing negotiations.
- Basic understanding of the Canadian drug market.
Pay:
$50, $120,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
