    Description

    depends upon experience Container Management Services is an industry leader in the manufacturing & recycling of industrial steel packaging solutions. Joining our team offers both the stability of an established market leader with the enthusiasm of an energetic ownership and management team.

    Container Management needs a few Warehouse Associates at our facility on Hayward, California location. Work is performed in a heavy manufacturing / production environment. Experience in warehouse, production, machine operator and/or in metal painting is desired.

    Candidate is required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and disclose criminal record. Overtime is required.

    **General Position Summary****:**

    Perform various manual labor in the production, yard and warehouse work areas.

    **Essential Functions****:**

    Performs open head and tight head blasting, cutting, beading, washing, swedging and drum sorting.

    Completes standard work checklist and other daily paperwork.

    Loads drums into trailers, loads drums onto pallets and shrink wraps.

    Applies nuts, bolts, metal rings and metal plugs onto drums.

    Applies labels to drums.

    Sweeps and maintains work area.

    Refills supplies in between orders.

    Performs quality checks and completes quality paperwork.

    Uses hand pallet jack and may operate forklift.

    **Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities****:**

    High School Diploma, GED or Work Experience

    Mechanical aptitude and warehouse experience preferred

    **Physical Requirements:**

    Standing - required to remain on feet for extended periods of time without being able to leave work area (frequent).

    Pulling/Pushing - requires exerting force on a regular basis so that the object is moved to or away from the employer (constant).

    Lifting - required at time to raise or lower objects from one level to another with a weight of 30-50 pounds using proper lifting techniques (constant).

    Carrying - required on a regular basis to carry objects in arms or on shoulders.

    Stooping and Crouching - regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist and by bending legs and spine (frequent).

    Grasping - regularly required to pick up objects with fingers (constant).

    Reaching - required to use the hands and arms to reach for objects (constant).

    Ability to cross bridges over moving conveyors.

    Speaking - requires expressing ideas (frequent).

    Listening - required to have the ability to hear (frequent).

    **Work Environment**

    Noise - exposed to loud noise inside the plant and required to wear earplugs in the plant at all times.

    Heat - exposed to high temperatures during summer months.

    Cold exposure - Exposed to low temperatures during winter months.

    Mechanical - exposed to mechanical hazards.

    Work adjacent to moving conveyors.
