- Provide first-line technical support to end users via phone, email, or in person, and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktop and laptop computers.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
- Set up and deploy new computers, laptops, and mobile devices for employees.
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify, evaluate, and implement technology solutions to enhance user experience and productivity.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates on computer systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as required and maintain inventory of computer equipment and software licenses.
- Document all technical issues, solutions, and processes to create a knowledge base for future reference and training purposes.
- Provide user training and guidance on the effective use of hardware and software applications.
- Adhere to IT best practices and security protocols to safeguard company data and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and other user account management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively with end-users at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) is desirable.
