**About Asialink Business**Asialink is Australias centre for creative engagement with Asia. It provides insights, develops capabilities and connects people through education, arts, diplomacy and business. As part of Asialink, Asialink Business is the National Centre for Asia Capability established with a mandate from the Australian Government to help create an Asia capable workforce in Australia. Asialink Business major stakeholders include the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, the University of Melbourne and the Myer Foundation.
**About the Role**You will be a key member of the Advocacy and Business Services team, ensuring the curation and overall project management of high-quality face-to-face, hybrid and online events for Asialink Business and the Asialink Group. A key focus will be building productive and collaborative relationships with all Asialink members and external stakeholders such as corporate partners and government officials. Your high-profile events will showcase a range of prominent Australian and Asian businesspeople, politicians, academics and community leaders, to enhance the reputation of Asialink Business.
In a typical week at work, you may:
Curate, plan and coordinate a range of strategic events, including international conferences, public lectures, private roundtables, training programs and seminars in numerous delivery modes including face-to-face, hybrid and online environments
Manage and work closely with speakers, using your excellent stakeholder skills to develop presentations
Draft and coordinate publicity and promotion, including advertising and online marketing
**Please note, it is a requirement for this role that you are available to work outside business hours for some events. This is a full-time, fixed term position until March 2023.**
**About You**You will be highly organised and have a background in events and project management. As a people person, you will be able to build effective working relationships with a range of people from diverse backgrounds. Your keen eye for detail and strong written and verbal communication skills will set you up for success in this role.
Ideally, you will further have:
Extensive event curation and event/project management skills and experience in delivering a full suite of events in face-to-face, hybrid and online environments
Demonstrated ability in writing and editing high quality proposals, correspondence and external facing documents
Thorough understanding of protocol requirements in the Australian and Asian contexts, within private and government settings
