    The Event Coordinator is a bridge between Event Managers and guests planning both events and guestroom blocks within the hotel. This includes, but is not limited to, corporate meetings, association conferences, non-profit galas, citywide conventions, weddings, and holiday parties. The Event Coordinator requires high attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow within events.

    Responsibilities include:

    Administrative support to the Event Sales and Planning Team

    Organizing internal bookings

    Conducting hotel tours

    Answering phones while in the office and providing guidance to clients on behalf of Event Sales and Planning Team

    Assisting Event Managers with incoming leads

    Effective management of small guestroom blocks including the understanding of groups history and pick up performance with guidance from managers

    Prepare group resumes and event orders

    Positive collaboration with hotel departments and vendors

    Educating customers about Hyatts planner technology

    In-person customer point of contact during event execution

    Actively identifying and recommending ways to enhance the attendee experience

    Post event bill review and history reports

    Generating reports

    **Qualifications**

    A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment while carrying positive attitude and living Hyatts values and mission.

    Team oriented individual able to adapt to an ever-changing hospitality and event industry

    Prior experience in Banquet Operations & Wedding Planning in a hotel setting preferred

    History of superior customer service satisfaction

    Proficiency desired in Envision Sales Suite, Opera, Social Tables, Sertifi, Hyatt Planner Portal, Microsoft Office.

    Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment

    Willingness to learn tasks in other departments in order to assist during busy times

    Refined verbal and written communication skills

    Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
